I do like it, but.......

it's nice enough, it sounds a little 'dead' but I guess that's due to the fact you had to export it. Certain parts of the trk are much louder than others, the beats dont kick through the mix enough, apart from in the 'fill' sections when the kick and cymbal are really quite loud, it's a shame as it's a nice enough tune, nothing inspirational, but good game music.

CosmicGamez responds:

Thanks, by the way, I'm capable of sending the original mp3 file, it's a shame it wouldn't upload on NG though, it was something to do with the frequency I exported it at, and I couldn't export it at a different frequency since I don't have the original file for the song anymore.

Not bad

Well, first off, the melodies are nice, the sounds fit well together, the basline is a little weak (mainly due to the sound used) and could do with not being panned to the left, keep the bass central at first.
Also the drums could do with sounding more prominent, try adding a little compression or distortion to them to give the trk some more edge?
Not bad though

Patareco responds:

First of all, you have some very nice tunes! Congratz on that, and i'm feeling honnored for your review! I didn't understand the bass part =S what do u mean by central?
I'll try to modify the Drums, bu t as I said earlier i havn't a clue on how to distort =(
Really really thanks for your review!!!

Yello

Someone's been listening to early Squarepusher, lol:)
Nice tune, I like the drippy reverb on the bass sounds, the beat work was good too, but could've been a bit more upfront in the mix imo. Nice work.

Macsalad responds:

I may like the same chord progression types, I think you could say this was influenced by some track off Burning'n Tree
thanks for the review :)

Lovely Stuff

Thought this was great, lovely build and the repeat glock style riff was very nice indeed. As always like the mix of the live instrumentation with the electronics.
I think his definate potential to build on. Some people would be proud to leave it just as it is, Plaid for example:) but I think it definately could keep on building with that end section, adding more layers and some nice vox to it perhaps?
It's good to break the back of getting back into writing electronica eh, just getting back into the swing of things again is nice.
Cool stuff, that i will give an 8//10 as it's unfinished.

Take it easy man.
Grats on the frontpage

MurderThyLamb responds:

Thanks for your wonderful criticism.

being a fan of old style hip-hop...

...it's nice, a little too much reverb on the beats to classify it as old school, but very good, now all you need is eazy e, yella and dre.:)

AfroShine responds:

I'll look into changing the reverb, and you just gave me a good idea, putting royalty free lyrics on the track.

hmmmm....

sounds like thom yorke got trapped in a box of percussion and is struggling to get out

nerdswithattitude responds:

That's my second favourite response ever.
