Released Today, 21st Aug: “Systems Emerging” EP
Systems Emerging grew from an attempt to translate the generative systems of my sketchbook drawings into music. After creating the primitive sound sets, “Primitives” became the starting point for the EP. Tracks two and three use “Primitives” as a source to extract and reshape elements, allowing new forms to emerge from the same underlying material. Rules, repetitions and structural decisions became the foundation for each track. Rather than directly illustrating the drawings, the EP explores what happens when a visual system is rebuilt in sound—where repetition, variation and small disruptions gradually produce something unexpected.
