nice

but you have to sort out your production, the levels are so high it's ridiculous! when you see the red peaks TURN IT DOWN:P

kiwifish responds:

lol.
i'll try to keep it in mind

yello

liking this.
Nice moody slow build with the glitch elements adding to the overall suspense of the trk.
Definite soundtrack material.
I think you could've put some more double timed beats in there to help ot develop more, but I like the fact that it's dark and consistent.
Great production too.
Nice one:)

LJCoffee responds:

Hey hey KB,

Thanks mate, haven't seen you around in a while - always nice to hear from you.

More double time beats - an excellent suggestion. I'm thinking that if the piece were extended a bit, the percussion doubled in a few spots and halved in a few others then it would be much more engaging.

Always a stream of good advice coming from you. :)

Take it easy!

good

the mix needs work, the ambient synths dominate the mix and you can't hear the vox.
No real need to blank out the word n***a when you say it throughout the trk:P
has potential...
see what you think of my trk [ O M G ] would like your opinion.

Rig responds:

Omg, I love you! Thanks for the review!

I just turned up the vocals and tweaked the EQ some more due to popular demand.

well....

it's not ambient, apart from the start:)
It's interesting though, i think the synths may be a little loud in the mix in comparison to the beats, they definitely over-ride the mix.
Nice breakdown, that's my fav bit of the trk.
As you say, with some better mastering this could be really good, the arrangement and development is very good apart from the end perhaps, that could use some more thought.

Good tune, 5'd

Reasoner responds:

'Preciate the feedback bro. Yes the ending could of ended much better, but I got to a certain point and knew I needed to mix this thing down and be done with it finally lol. My mastering techniques also leave much to be desired. Thanks for 5'ing it though :-D

Good

I think the arrangement is pretty much spot on, but the sounds you've chosen to use are wrong in my ears.
I do like the low sub kick drum, but feel the other hits of the beats need to be altered they are too weak. The snare needs to cut through the mix more.
The mellow synth/pad at about 2 mins in is a nice sound.
Perhaps try listening to some Thomas Schumacher tracks( i recommend his trk Hiroo), I think he has the right sort of sound for this genre, of course it's only my opinion:)
Overall, good solid track. 5'd

I'd say it's fast breakbeat...

...or slow DnB:)
liked it, definite soundtrack music. I personally prefer stuff like this a bit darker, but it was well produced. i thought you could've made more of the bassline with some distrortion and filtering in parts to help break it up.
Good track, 5'd

nice

the lyrics and vox are corny as fuck, but the playing is good. Bit too much reverb on the vocal, would sound nicer a bit distorted and less 'clean' imo.

Goatchrist responds:

The lyrics are not supposed to be "satanic" or anything if that's what you mean. I haven't written much text because you are supposed to kind of "get" the meaning behind them. I don't like to fall into the trap of pseudo-Satanism.

Thanks for the review.

gonzo music

long time no speaky:)
this sounds pretty cool, I gave up on breakcore a while ago, but this might just rekindle my faith in it.
Great sample placement, where's me white gloves and dust mask...
two pops of mescalin please

house?

I'd have to say it's not what I would consider house music, it's a kinda tech/dance rather than house.
The melodies and counterparts work well, nice and simple. i find the sounds a bit tedious, i think it would have been nice to try using some more inventive sounds and synths, these sound a little dated, but good nonetheless.
The mastering/production on the trk is ok, the beats could do with being more upfront, making the snare more prominent would help drive the track along and perhaps some seperation in the mix to give some of the sounds the space to breathe. It's all there really, just needs a new set of sounds and a bit more variance for my liking, good stuff.

Sanryd responds:

Alright, this is going in the techno section.

Thanks for the review. Everything you said will be going into this song, so I can make the changes. I basically just threw the main parts of the song on NG..... so i think the final product will be about a 5 minute song, maybe longer.

Whats funny about the sounds is that I originally was going to make a parody song called "Generic Techno" .... and just make the most generic techno song out there. That is why the melody starts off so dam generic and the sounds were so generic.... I changed the melodies and made them more complex, but you know what.... i forgot to change the sounds...lol. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll give some different options a try.

The percussion is something I'm terrible with, so thanks for the notice... I'll definitely make my snares more prominent.

Anyways, appreciate the review.

liked it

nice clear/crisp sound and good use of separation on the beats to give the trk a good surround and rounded feel.
Liked the filtering but think the track would benefit from a bit more variance in beats and sounds as it starts to sound a little flat after a while. Some more chops and glitches might have been cool to break the trk up.
Overall, good tune.

IDReaper responds:

Thanks for the review man, glad you took the time to check it out. Yeah, I agree with you on those points. I'll make sure I take those things into consideration for future reference.
