[diesel-killer: Sweet darkness]

Its good, but....

The beat definately has that dark d n b style to it, but it's not got enough variance to keep me interested for long, some simple high hats and some nice breakdowns might help that. There is also a serious need for a phat bass sound to be used as the track sounds too middle and high end at the mo. It's ok but it needs some proper tweaking and some more in yer face fx and samples to really get it jumpin. Also that sound that comes in during the middle section where there's no beat is a bit out of place. It could do with being arppegiated instead of just single stabs.
Hope thats not too much critisism. Just tryin to be constructive.

I like it.......

...I'm not too keen on the scratching though, I like the beats, the sounds used and the arrangement, but for me, the scratching doesn't flow with the tune. I'm guessing that's a synthesized scratchin sound u used, which I think never sounds that great, especially in comparison to the real thing. I reckon lose the scratching and drop some nice vocal samples or film/tv samples in instead.

... but i reckon that lo-fi snare needs to be more prominent in the mix. I like the rhythmn, but it seems like the track is missing something. Maybe add a prominent melody or some nice warm pads?

Those original drums were holding this tune back. It's got a lot of nice layers and textures but I still think it is missing that killer drumline! Add A nicely rounded beat to this tune and it's a winner if u ask me. Nice!

well....

....again it's not really my thing, but it sounds very crisp and clear and would definately do well in the dance or Trance categories.

I like this a lot. The lead Raygun bleep sound is a little too loud in the mix though and gets a little irritating, apart from that this is cool. Nice job.

Not my thing....

.....but U obviously have good skills at composing and arranging within this particular genre of music. Nice stuff, but not my cup of tea.

some nice touches....

...i like the sounds used and the squelchy noise, but i don't think the drums work very well at all. They don't sit well in the mix. Maybe try coming up with a more Blip-Hop style drum beat made from beeps and clicks. I think that will compliment the sounds u used in the track a lot better.

[Something to Breakdance]

Hmmmm..........

......Some nice touches in this track but it would have been nicer if the beat interacted with the samples and was of a more stop/start nature. I like the simplicity of the backing sounds and the samples but the beat needs to be more varied to compliment them. Chop the beats, resample them, time stretch em, reverse em, pan em, just make them more exciting and then u've got a cracking tune on your hands! Good stuff, with loads of potential to be great.

Not my favourite genre/style but this is a good tune. Would be even nicer with some breakbeaty drums in the mix. I give u 4, want to give 4.5 but can't so a 4 is whatcha get!
