.... I like the fast paced, glitchy drums. The track has a nice subtle underlying atmosphere with that pad sound floating around, but I personally think this should be brought higher up in the mix, it sounds a little lost. I want to be able to hear the chords and their progressions. As it is I am struggling to hear them over the drums and dub like rolls. This is really well produced and arranged. Nice stuff, I shall listen to your other trk and leave a review.
Thanks! I listened to a few of your tracks as well - some really awesome stuff. As for the low volume atmospherics, I kind of dig that. personally I think making one part or another a bit difficult to hear or make out adds a little extra tension but that's just my opinion and I'm often wrong.

....until those drums start messing about!! So laid back I was practically horizontal! I can see how your musical ability has progressed from then to now. I much prefer your latest stuff. I understand why this is in a tutorial. Apart from the heavy section, this is a perfect tune to flow in the backing of a flash. Lovely stuff! Has a nice innocence to it.
Yea, I´ve gotten some different opinions bout them drums, and I´m not sure bout my own opinion... other than maybe they´re not that suitable in this song. Its cool that you hear the difference between my old vs new stuff, and I can totally understand y u like the newer stuff better. It´s been created more seriously, simply.

....This has some good elements to it and could be made to develop further. There are nice blips and bleeps, but the sounds tend to interfere with each other a bit. Btw..The titles of your tunes are great!

....There's loadsa really good elements to this track, but the arrangement is far too busy. I think u should try losing some of the layers as there are too many instruments/parts interfering with each other. The start is fine it's as soon as the beat drops that things get a little too hectic. Try building it up a bit slower and not using so many instruments that have similar frequencies. This has loads of potential, but needs some fine tuning. Nice job.

....The string progression is simple but really nice and chilled. The drums are far to quiet in the mix though and u might wanna think about adding a simple high string part to add to the nice atmos u have already created. Nice stuff.

Well, what can I say! You have produced another beaut! My only critisism is that the tune gets a little muddied up in the mid section. A few too many things overlapping, maybe try panning some of those tracks ever so slightly to see if it frees up the mix a little more. The sounds used are sweet and far more original than the other Techno tunes I have listened to. I tell u what , u get a lot more downloads when your stuff is on the weekly favourites. Peace out!
Hey man! You´re totally right about the midsec... When I first started creating music like 2-3 years ago, I had like 10-15 insturments that fought each other in some songs (and no sound mixing whatsoever:). Still that´s something I´m actually aware of, I tried to mix it right with this one so it would fit, but didn´t quite succeed, I guess... There´s one sound that´s not that big that should have been taken away (some failed fucekd up swoosch-bloink thingy...)
I try making things a lil mre original with effects, but it´s difficult, and takes alot of time. Fun when u gets it right, though :) Well, I´m learning while creating, u know :D

Well whatever the problem was it aint there no more! This track kicks along nicely, it's a little incessant though. Those drums are nice and heavy, but could do with a bit of chopping up and glitching. (that's just my personal preference).
The sounds used are sweet, and suit this style of DnB. A nice high arppegiated melody line might sound good, or maybe even some strange, twisted vocal samples. Nice Stuff.

I've never heard this tune before, being relatively new to Newgrounds but I have to say it's very funky. I like the vocal samples they sit very nicely with that underlaying bass buzz. Shame the guitar loop is so lo-fi, it would be nice if that was cleaner and higher in the mix. The arrangement in this tune is spot on and everything flows really well. I would like to hear what sort of tunes you are making nowadays if this one is as far back as 98.
