'Still Life' is taken from my new Ambient/Lo-Fi/Noise/Drone/Soundscape album "Remembrance". Released 22nd April 2022, on Odd John Records.

Stripping-back my sound and arrangements to their bare-bones, I focused on creating dense, descriptive soundscapes which juxtapose minimal ambience, drone and lo-fi/noise elements. Utilising this approach, Remembrance developed meditative, reflective and mindful qualities. The tracks may sound simple and straightforward upon first, casual listen. However, the character of the album develops, becoming more expansive and evoking deeper meaning when listened to using a pair of large, over-the-ear headphones; to fully appreciate the subtleties and nuances therein.
Remembrance is an open, honest and autobiographical body of work. Only after finishing the record did I truly appreciate that the overarching dark and sombre tone is a reflection of myself; dealing with depression and ongoing anxiety issues.
Cover Artwork/Photograph was taken on Newport Beach, Pembrokeshire, West Wales. UK.
