..sOME NICE GUITARING, SHAME THAT THE BEATS ARE SO WEAK IN COMPARISON, THIS WOULD SOUND NICE WITH SOME U.N.K.L.E STYLE DRUMS IN. hAVE A LISTEN TO SOME OF MY TUNES, AND C WAHT U THINK. i RECCOMEND 'SONG FOR RUCKLO' OR '8-BIT BASTARD.

...this is very weird and i luv it!. Those vocals are proper lo-fi and crunchy and the fx on them are great. Is that you saying 'Why can't u leave my mind alone? U could go on and develop this track, although I dont know where u should take it, it might be fun to try!

Yea that´s me talkin, disted and FX´ed up. I grew to hate thisone, it irritates me, but maybe it´s just cause i don´t like hearing my own voice? :D
I won´t go further with it, since it irritates me, but it might have been fun... I guess noone´ll never know :D

well now...

...I hear a lot of stuff similar to this thru the Audio portal. (Well the intro anyway). However this definately has it's own style and is more DnB than it is Trance. The mix aint gr8 and would benefit from some seperation. It builds really nicely and gets better and better. It almost sounds like very early Squarepusher stuff. I really like certain parts of this trk, but it just doesnt develop enuff.

It was a toss up for me between DnB and trance, but I guess it should have been DnB, huh? I'm very new to making music, only been using FL studio for a year, and I'm not to sure how to mess with equalizations yet, but with practice comes experience I guess. Anyway thanks for your review, it helps me alot!

BOC rule!...

Anoyone who likes BOC and name checks them can't be bad! This tune is a little too full of reverb and the synth stab sound ruins it for me. There are some really nice textures, but u could learn a few things from BOC. Ure mix is far too busy. I think u should simplify. I love the oragnish sounds of the main chords, but that synth sound! get rid of it. It is more suited for an early nineties rave trk! I love everything about this tune apart from that. Take ure time to develop the ambience. Get rid of that sound and this track is cracking! Some fuckd up vox samples might help as well. Sorry to be so critical, it's just that i think your tune has so much potential and it's something I would consider buying if u tweaked it more. Really, really good.

Thanks for the feedback, both of you. Just thought I'd let you know that I'm actually still working on this one (and keeping in the aforementioned suggestions in mind). When I'm through with it, I'll post it.

It's kinda irritating. definately not Funk, just seems like you've programmed in a load of notes that clash. Not sure how anyone could use this. Not a lot of thought went into this.

I liked it. Nice and incoherent! Nice use of samples and drum patterns. It amazing what u can do with a little help from abusing substances! Good shit. Completely different and individual. I do hear the Joy Division influences.

well...

....It's pretty basic, but u r only a beginner. The timing is out throughout the track, i'm not sure what program u are using but you should be able to 'Quantize' your beats and samples so they all fit together. You need to try putting some synthesizer/keyboard melodies and rhytmns into your tunes. Have a listen to some of my tunes and see what u think. I recommend 8-BIT bastard as a good place to start or my new live trk, plop plop fizz fizz. Keep on practising, the more u do the better you'll get, don't worry about negative reviews, fuck em! As long as you have fun making the track that's all that matters. Peace

hmmm....

...Big mistake putting this in the drum and bass category, cos people who are DnB purists are gonna vote this low. It really isn't DnB at all. It's a cheesy video game style loop. It sounds almost japanese cartoon theme tune like. A good effort, but not my cup of tea!
